Danville, Illinois - Anita Sills, 80, of Danville died at 9:07 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, surrounded by family.

Anita was born April 14, 1938, in Danville. She was a member of Terre Haute Church of God. She attended Grant School in Danville and received her LPN at Parkland College. She worked at the Sale Barn Restaurant, General Electric, St. Elizabeth Hospital, operated a licensed in-home day care and provided nursing services via Diversified Home Healthcare before retirement.

She had a passion for music and was a talented singer and piano player. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

She married Robert Sills in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1989. She married Charles Sills in 1998. He preceded her in death in 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Woodrow Hanna and Wanda Ervin; stepfather Howard Ervin; sister, Rita Eastridge; brother, Rhulin Hanna; and daughter, Sheryl Strayer.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald Sills, Robert Sills and Daniel Sills; and three daughters, Marnita Sills, Elaine Bryant and Dawn Sills. Also surviving are two brothers, Woodrow Hanna and Byron Hanna; two sisters, Brenda Hanna and Angel Connelly; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a loving, caring and forgiving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Officiating will be Graham Parish. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be 5- 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the funeral home.
