Alan M. Barney, 74, of Westville, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Accolade Health Care in Danville. He was born June 23, 1948 in Danville to Michael and Ruth (Pearson) Barney. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Barney White of Melba, Idaho, five sisters, Yvonne Miller, Carol McCardle and Teresa Pridemore all of Westville, Dianna Forsyth of Danville and Karen Dietz of Emmett, Idaho, two brothers, Ed (Jodi Barney of Westville and Tim (Linda) Barney of Tilton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Calvin Barney and Robert Barney. He will also be missed by his good friend, Karen.

Alan worked at Robin-Tech, Caterpillar in Chicago, Spring Valley Rental Property and as a cab driver, painter and roofer. He enjoyed playing pool, playing cards and drinking with his buddies. He was a big Elvis fan.

The family would like to thank Accolade Health Care and OSF Medical Center for the good care he received. According to his wishes, he was cremated and a celebration of life will be Friday, June 23, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Catlin Community Center 109 S. Sandusky Catlin, IL.
