Virginia C. Meihls, 72, of Veedersburg, Ind., passed away at 12:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at her residence.
Virginia was born March 16, 1944, in Crawfordsville, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Lister) Kolaiser. She married Darwin Cox on July 20, 1962, and they divorced. She married Perry Milton Meihls on Aug. 29, 1979, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving family include her mother, Mary Kolaiser, Hillsboro; a daughter, Lori (Tony) Ellis, Georgetown, Ill.; a son, Bryan Cox, Veedersburg; and two sisters, Delores (Arnold) Hancock, Stone Bluff and Rosemary (Leroy) York, Kingman.
She is preceded in death by her father, husband, and a granddaughter, Katasha Brynn Ellis.
Virginia graduated from Richland Township High School. She had been employed at the V.A. Illiana Health Care System in Danville and retired from there in 2009. She was a member of Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Dave Sims officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace, Indiana.
