DANVILLE - Sally Marie Cox, 80, of Danville passed away at 6:06 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at Paris Community Hospital in Paris.
She was born on April 27, 1936, in Danville, the daughter of Herbert and Leota Mae Harper Lappin.
She married Thomas Glen Cox Sr. in 1955, in Danville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2012.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas (Jewell) Cox of Thomasboro, Ill.; two daughters, Regina (Terry) Sherman of Danville and Kathy Cox of Danville; six grandchildren, Daniel Ray (Lisa Paris) Cox of Danville, Katrina (Greg) Sims of Tilton, Kathleen (Jeff) Miller of Los Angeles, Calif., Ashley (Lee) Sherwood of Urbana, Rebecca (Mike) Rutledge of Paxton, and John Michael Land of Urbana; eight great-grandchildren, Mathew and Elizabeth Sherman, Alex Ball, Jaxon and Olivia Sherwood, Carter Michael Land, Anne Marie Rutledge, and Cody Lee Winter.
Sally was a member of TOPS Chapter IL1858
Funeral mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church, in Danville, with Father Steven Loftus officiating. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Robison Chapel in Catlin. On-line condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
