DANVILLE - Robbie Sue Edwards, 73, of Danville passed way at 7:48 a.m. Oct. 22, 2016, at Colonial Manor in Danville.
Robbie was born on April 24, 1943, the daughter of Albert Robert and Ada Sue (Simmons) Lawrence in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Robbie married Frank R. Edwards on Jan. 10, 1974, in Champaign. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2012.
Survivors include special stepsons, Danny (Tawana) Edwards of Danville, and Randy Edwards of Danville; her brothers, George (Sue) Lawrence of Sidney, Allen Lawrence of Tolono, and Ricky Lawrence of Rantoul; sisters, Effie Hope of Oakwood, and Pat (Phil) Hoshauer of Fithian; special step-grandchildren, Joshua, Felicia, Ashley and Miranda; and special step-great-grandchildren, Zoey and Frankie.
Robbie is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Robbie loved to cook and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed taking care of her many cats and dogs as well as watching the Chicago Bears.
Robbie loved being in the outdoors and took many trips through local recreation areas to watch the deer and other wildlife.
A Tribute to the life of Robbie will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
