MARSHFIELD, IND. - Richard L. "Dick" Gee, age 90, of Marshfield, Ind., died at 11:57 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
Dick was born on June 26, 1927 near Marshfield, Ind. He was the son of Chauncy Bruce and Ida May (Murphy) Gee. He was a graduate of Marshfield school and was a lifelong resident of Marshfield, Ind.
On Feb. 8, 1946 he married Oretha "Tiny" Hopkins. She survives.
Dick worked for Harrison Steel Casting Co. and owned and operated Dick's Frame Shop in Marshfield since 1972. He was a lifetime member of Attica Eagles Lodge #2596 and Moose Lodge #1482 Attica. Dick enjoyed shooting pool and watching college basketball. He was an avid IU fan. He was a perfectionist at all he did.
Surviving are wife, Tiny Gee of Williamsport, Ind.; daughter, Jacqueline "Sue" Weston (husband: Tom) of Marshfield, Ind.; two brothers, Bruce "Jake" Gee (wife: Pat) of Covington, Ind. and Howard Gee (wife: Mary) of Williamsport, Ind.; two grandchildren, Rick Weston (wife: Kristi) of Lafayette, Ind. and Robin Hubner (husband: Craig) of Williamsport, Ind.; three great-grandchildren, Brooke Weston, Jessica Weston and Michayla Hubner.
Dick was preceded in death by six sisters, Doris Inman, Rosie Simonton, Luella Beardsley, Cynthia Simonton, Eva Harden, and Ann Wesley, and three brothers, Gordon Gee, David Gee and Frank Gee.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home, in Williamsport, Ind., on Friday, July 7, from noon until service time at 2 p.m. with Ministers Bruce Thornsbrough and Steve Padgett officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
