Phyllis Ann Thompson, 82, of Georgetown, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - noon, Friday March 3, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street, in Danville. Services will be at noon at Pape's with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Phyllis was born on Sept. 28, 1934, in Cates, Ind., to Harry and Nixola (Cates) Ervin. She attended Grape Creek Grade School and graduated from Westville High School in 1953. Phyllis worked at K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed working on crossword and Jigsaw puzzles, and spending any time she could with her grandchildren.
Phyllis married Elzo Thompson Jr. on May 19, 1953, he preceded her in death in December 2007. Survivors include his children: Connie Allen, Larry (Paula) Thompson, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Thompson, and Penny (Gary) Snyder; grandchildren: Stacy (Jessica) Allen, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Rau, Emily (Charles) Powell, Clay Thompson, and Jen Vive Thompson; four great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Liam, Joseph, and Zane; and sister, Bessie Lowe. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Betty Brewer.
