WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. - Peggy Jo (VanSickle) Cooksey, 71, of Williamsport, Ind., died on June 12, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Peggy was born May 15, 1946, in Williamsport. She was the daughter of Joe and Betty (Mornout) VanSickle. She resided in Warren County all of her life and graduated from Williamsport High School in 1964.
On Oct. 23, 1964, she married James A. Cooksey in Attica, Ind., He survives.
Peggy was the owner and operator of A Touch of Silk and Fresh for over 20 years. She enjoyed taking care of her dogs and loved to watch her grandchildren in their activities.
Surviving with her husband, Jim, are, two sons, Chris Cooksey (wife: Kathy) and Mike Cooksey, both of Williamsport; two brothers, Gary "Butch" VanSickle of Kingman, Ind., and Jerry VanSickle of West Lebanon, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Madison Cooksey, MacKinley Cooksey, Morgan Cooksey and Garrett Cooksey.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, June 14, at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport. Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, June 15, in the chapel with Pastor Don Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport.
