Pamela Howard, 74, of Potomac, formerly of Westville, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at her son's home.
Pamela was born on March 3, 1942, in Danville, the daughter of Rexall F. and Ruth (Bryant) Hartman.
She married Thomas Jake Howard on Nov. 18, 1961, at Calvary Baptist Church in Tilton. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1989. She later married Ronald Newnum. He later preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynnette (Dave) Downing of Potomac; one son, Monte (Ellen) Howard of Potomac; two brothers, Keith (Michelle) Hartman of Danville and Kent (Patty) Hartman of Westville; one sister, Nancy (Bud) Lutz of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Ben and Chase Reardon, Sarah Asbury, Jake and Brody Howard; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
Pamela graduated from Westville High School and attended Cosmetology School. She worked as a beautician for several years and taught at the House of James Cosmetology School in Danville. She later worked at Wright Motor Company, in Danville, as a salesman for several years, until she retired. She enjoyed fishing, antiques and going to auctions. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Potomac Community Building. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Potomac Community Building. Following the services there will be a family gathering at the Community Building.
