Nancy Sue Kenny McDaniel, 81, of Covington, went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Parkview Healthcare, Attica. She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Covington, the daughter of Robert and Mabel "Jackson" Kenny.
Nancy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, in Covington, where she taught Sunday School, Awana and Ladies Bible Study. She was a lifelong resident of Covington and a 1953 graduate of Covington High School. She married Ray "Wimpy" McDaniel Nov. 1, 1953.
She was a loving mother to Beth (Warren) Allen, Brenda (Bruce) Ford, Timothy (Tami) McDaniel and Tom Laverly. She had 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are brother, Jack Kenny and sister, Gretchen (Lloyd) Chambers.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray "Wimpy" McDaniel; a son, Bruce McDaniel; three brothers, Bob, Charlie and John Kenny; four sisters, Marie Allison, Marlis Davan, Millie Woodrow and Pauline Snider.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 28, at 5 p.m. EDT at the Shelby Funeral Home, in Covington, with Warren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
