Jul 28, 1986 - Aug 6, 2016
Mary Thompson, 30, of Terre Haute, Ind., and formerly of Danville, was taken from us suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016.
Visitation hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Pape Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Neal officiating. Following services, Mary will be laid to rest in Atherton Cemetery beside her grandmother.
Mary was born on July 28, 1986, in Danville to Steve and Lynnett (Smith) Thompson. She attended Danville grade schools, Lincoln's Challenge, DACC and was currently finishing her degree in Criminal Justice at Ivy Tech.
Mary served for a short time in the U.S. Army, and was a restoratist for Serve Pro in Danville, then Terre Haute. She attended The Life Church in Danville.
Mary was a sports fan, especially the Indianapolis Colts and the Cardinals. Her life revolved around her children and she enjoyed every minute she spent with them; drives in the car, family vacations, and listening to music were just a few of their favorite times together.
Mary was strong-willed and we all loved her for that. She often sought out to do something to prove that she could. She was independent and full of life. She loved her family more than anything in the world. When she was around, her eyes would sparkle and her smile would light up a room. She was always ready to laugh.
Mary leaves behind her husband, Terry Jackson; her two children, Calvin Modest III and Ca'Leeigha Wilkins; her father, Steve (Marti) Thompson; her mother, Lynnett Thompson; two brothers, Steven (Lisa) Thompson and Jake Miller (Kassie Goodwin); her maternal grandfather, Don (Evelyn) Turner; a special aunt, Jamie Eller; a close cousin, Nai'Zjianna Cronkhite; three nephews, Brennan and Patrick Thompson and Rory Miller; and a close friend, Somer Farrell. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Theresa Coronado and her paternal grandparents, Grover and Mary Thompson.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know and love her.
