Mary Dora Pollock, 62, of Springfield, Mo., and formerly of Danville, went home to be with her best friend and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street, in Danville, from 4-6 p.m. Graveside Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Oak Hill Cemetery, off of Batestown Road, with Randy Downing officiating.
Mary was born on Sept. 5, 1954, in Danville, to Ollie and Rose (Ervin) Ryan. She attended Diamond and Oakwood Grade Schools, Oakwood High School, and DACC. She spent most of her life in Danville before moving to Missouri in 2002 to be close to her sister, Barbara. Mary was a caring and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of The Rock Church when she lived in Danville.
Mary married Walter Pollock in 1976 and the two had one daughter: Pamela Pollock (Jesse Edgar), who survives. Also surviving are three grandchildren Aaron Butler, Angelina and Hailey; a special brother-in-law, David Pickett; two nieces, Kim (Howard) Pfeifer and Sheri Pickett-Dobbs; two nephews, Duane Pickett and Terry Pickett; and several great-nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ollie Ryan; two sisters: JoAnn Howard and Barbara Pickett; and a niece, Lisa (Howard) Murphy.
