Mark A. Cawthon, 56, of Perrysville, Ind., passed away at 8:56 a.m. CDT Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Presence United Samaritans Medical in Danville, Ill.
He was born Sept. 14, 1960, in Danville, the son of James D. and Sandra S. (Bahls) Cawthon.
Mark married Delores (Dee) A. Moore on June 12, 1988, in Gessie, Ind. She survives.
Other survivors include his two sons, Dustin (Haley) Cawthon of Terre Haute, Ind., and Garreth Cawthon of Perrysville, Ind.; his father, James D. (Mary Lou) Cawthon of Gessie, Ind.; sister, Amber (Chris) Rudolph of Gessie, Ind.; father and mother-in-law, Jim (Patti) Moore of Cayuga, Ind.; niece, Alannah Rudolph of Gessie, Ind.; and nephew, Matthew Rudolph of Perrysville. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra S. Cawthon.
Mark was working as a truck driver for Holland in Danville. He was a 1979 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Mark enjoyed flying and was taking lessons. He was a member of the UL 81 in Kingman, Ind., and the E.A.A.
He enjoyed many shooting sports, restoring old tractors, working in his flower bed, going to Oshkosh, Wis., to the annual air show and watching the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, Mark enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral services: 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 30, at DeVerter Funeral Home, Cayuga, Ind. Cremation following. Visitation: 4 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 30, until time of services at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Hopewell Cemetery near Gessie, Ind.
