Lillian Reynolds, 92, of Savoy, died at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Meadowbrook Health Care, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Dr. West, Savoy. The Rev. Tim Barber will officiate. Visitation will be prior beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Rossville Cemetery, Rossville.
Lillian was born Nov. 2, 1924 in Bismark, a daughter of Francis and Myrtle Villars McGuire. She married Arnold Reynolds on May 9, 1948 in Catlin. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Al (Tina) Reynolds of Ajijic Jalisco, Mexico and Rich (Kathy) Reynolds of Champaign; two granddaughters, Kelly (Gabe) Mesa of Arlington, Wash. and Laurie (Rob) Wylie of Pamona, Calif.; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Lillian graduated from Sidell High School and Lakeview School of Nursing. During her working life, she worked at Lakeview Hospital and Danville Care. She was the school nurse at Armstrong High, and worked at Vermilion County Health Department.
She and Arnold lived in Potomac 37 years and were active at Potomac Church of Christ before moving to Champaign, where they became members of First Christian Church. Lillian loved singing and volunteering at the churches they attended. They actively supported various missions, and went on a mission trip to Austria. Until a few years ago, they volunteered at Lincoln Christian Nursing Home. Lillian was an encourager to everyone who knew her.
They enjoyed going on many bus trips for many years before moving to assisted living.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Champaign.
