Kristin Dawn Lynch, 36, of Covington, Ind., died at 1:07 p.m. Wednesday. Aug. 24, 2016, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago following an extended bout with melanoma.
She was born March 26, 1980, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Larry Dean and Sandy Lynn (Newell) Davis.
She was 1998 graduate of Fountain Central High School, and a resident of Veedersburg, Ind., before moving to Covington in 2003. Kristin was a member of Hillsboro Nazarene Church, where she taught the pre-K and kindergarten class. She was a member of the Covington Nursery School Board for several years, and had been a teacher's aid the past two years.
Kristin married Matthew Alan Lynch on Oct. 4, 2003, at Hillsboro Nazarene Church and he survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Isbella; a son, Jacoby; her parents, Larry and Sandy Davis of Veedersburg; a sister, Tracie (Mike) McCollum of Hillsboro, Ind.; grandmother, Martha (Gene) Newell of Perrysville, Ind.; Matt's parents, Alan and Sharon Lynch of Covington; his sister, Bethany (Ben) Frost of Danville; his grandparents, John "Bill" and Janice Lynch of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Linda Goley of Covington; and four nephews, Gabriel, Gavin, Owen and Maddox. Her grandparents, Forest Newell, Herman and Myrtle Davis, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 29, at Hillsboro Nazarene Church with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Burial: Coal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. EDT Sunday, Aug. 28, at the church.
