Kenneth D. Horton, 75, of Saylorsburg, Pa., died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Kay L. (Bush) Horton. Born in Decatur, he was the son of the late Wayne and Geraldine Horton.
Kenneth was a resident of the Saylorsburg area for the past 31 years and prior to that he resided in the Danville, Ill., area. He was employed as a truck driver for many years driving for the Chuckles Candy Co. and later for the Carlisle Trucking Co. in Carlisle, Pa., until his retirement. He was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife Kay, he is survived by his children, Amy Hume, Todd Horton, Jerry Horton and Kim Warner, all of Danville; his step children, Patricia Lambert, Michelle Creutz, Brian Akers and Bradley Akers; and several grand and great-grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Horton, and a daughter, Jerri Hughes.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th St., Stroudsburg, is in charge of the arrangements.
