Joseph Daniel Quick, 61, of Danville, went to be with the Lord at home with his family on Monday, May 1, 2017.
A memorial service will be from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at Morey Chapel Church, 19194 E 1100 North Rd, Danville, IL 61834. An open house to visit family and friends will follow on Saturday, May 6, at Joe and Sue's house, 501 4th Avenue in Danville between 2-4 p.m. If you would like to bring food it is welcomed.
Joe was born on July 4, 1955 to Barbara (Pierce) Quick and Paul Quick of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine grandchildren. Survivors include his siblings: David (Verna) Quick of Westville, Larkina Quick of Danville, and Archie (Nancy) Quick of Danville.
He married Lorraine Susan Reffett on Oct. 15, 1977. The two had four children including Joseph (Janetta) Quick of Indianola, Amanda (Scott) Turner of Indianola, Adam (Amber) Quick of Oakwood, and Stacey (Daniel) Quick-Stark of Danville, who all survive. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed his family and friends. He was a big inspiration to many people. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as his brothers and sisters. He loved reading the Bible and rocking out to Christian music. His favorite pastime was to cook out, fish, work on vehicles, design and put quilts together with his wife, play online computer games and playing Euchre. He was a great mentor and always gave advice to everyone, whether you wanted it or not.
