James Bergan, 65, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Danville, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Born on February 13, 1952, in Danville, he was the son of Elizabeth (Wallace) Bergan and the late Thomas Bergan. James was employed with General Motors for over 37 years, currently employed with Carlex Glass in Auburn, and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
He is also survived by his wife of 39 years, Keli (Foreman) Bergan; children, William Jerry Richards, Sarah (Tim) Goodman, Megan Bergan, and Joshua Bergan.; six grandchildren, Ian, David, Emilia, Grace, Sophia, and Avrianna; siblings, Barry (Maria) Bergan, Wynne (Jim) Steinbaugh, Diana (Larry) Lytle, Patrick (Gina) Bergan, and Kelley (Randy) Davis; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Bergan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral Service will be 1pm, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Reverend Timothy Graham officiating. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
