SPRING GROVE, PA. - Jack Beckman II, age 61, passed away at home with his family by his side on Nov. 29, 2016. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Perrigo) Beckman; together they shared over 30 years of marriage.
Jack was born in Danville, on April 21, 1955, and was the son of the late Jack and Mary (Johnson) Beckman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He earned a National Defense Medal, a Parachutist Badge, a Good Conduct Medal, a Rifle Expert Shooting Badge, a Naval Divers Insignia and was a Force Recon Marine. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, he owned Beckman's Suzuki and Kawasaki and Beckman's Machine Shop. He also worked as an Engineer for Harley Davidson in York prior to retiring.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his step son, Jeremy Ware and wife Suzie; his sons, Jed Beckman and wife, Amy and Jay Beckman; his grandchildren, Dakota and Jace Ware and Ellie Mae Beckman; and his great-grandson, Deklan Ware. He is also survived by his sisters, Karla Jones and Mary Beckman. He was predeceased by his son, Jesse Beckman, and his sister, Rebecca Ford.
Following cremation, a funeral service in celebration of his life was held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Interment will be held privately by the family.
