DANVILLE - Helen Marie Castillo, 78, of Danville, passed away at 1:19 a.m. July 29, 2016, at her home.
Helen was born Aug. 28, 1937, in Hoopeston, Ill., the daughter of John and Stella (Oberland) Baker Sr.
She married Virgil "Pete" Williams on July 12, 1954. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1978. She later married Carlos Castillo on Dec. 5, 1981. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Julie) Williams of Champaign and Terry Williams; three daughters, Rose Williams of Manito, and Melinda Sandlin and Melissa Leclaire, both of Iowa City, Iowa; one brother, Johnny (Mary) Baker of Hoopeston; nine grandchildren, Zachary Williams, Amanda Williams, Joshua Williams, Megan Blakeney, Kalyna Miller, Alex Espinoza, Anthony Castillo, Kristen Castillo and Kyle Sandlin; as well as nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her husbands; two sons, Virgil "Pete" Williams and Bruce Williams; two sisters, Barbara Winters and Betty Schwartz; and one granddaughter, Carmen Espinoza.
Helen was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and traveling. She loved photography and spending time with family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 619 E. Voorhees St., Danville. Officiating will be David Field. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Friday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Danville.
