DANVILLE - Gladys Miller, 90, of Danville, and formerly of Tangier and Howard, Ind., passed away at 2:56 a.m. CDT Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 10, 1927, in Parke County Indiana, the daughter of the late Grover and Rebecca (Decker) Sowers.
Gladys married Richard Miller on June 7, 1975. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1984.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Bollinger of Aurora, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Sonnie Trinkle of Howard, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leoma Sue Lang of Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Torres; two sons, Lonnie and Roger Trinkle; great grandson, DeWayne Severado; five sisters, Darlene and May Sowers, Ruby Bowman, Bessie Jewell and Dorothy Smedley; and three brothers, Alfred, Daniel and Roscoe Sollars.
Gladys was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, yahtzee, bingo, watching T.V. and holding rummage sales at her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services: 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 21, 2017, at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga. Officiating: Pastor Kurt Sovine. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the funeral home.
