Gertrude Mae Robinson, 80, of Danville, transitioned from this life at 6:47 p.m. March 17, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Gertrude was born Jan. 18, 1937, to George Posey and Mary Webb Clark.
She retired as an admissions receptionist at Illiana Health Care System in Danville. Gertrude enjoyed landscaping, cooking, traveling and serving others.
Gertrude leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Debra Clark, Kimla Robinson and Garry "Fry" Robinson, all of Danville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Albert (Helen) Clark and Ceola (Angela) Clark; special nieces, Rosemary (Marvin) Williams of Columbia, S.C., and Regina Mockabee of Danville; a special cousin, Calvin Webb; and a host of family and friends.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Robinson; her parents; two brothers and a sister.
A Celebration of Life will commence at noon Thursday, March 23, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the service. Officiating: Pastor Leo Davis. Interment: Danville National Cemetery.
