Evelyn Yarusinsky Hanson, a life-long resident of Danville, passed away peacefully May 12, 2017 at age 91. She was the youngest of eight children born to John and Anna Chismar Yarusinsky.
Evelyn was married to Robert A. Hanson June 7, 1946 and raised three children: Marianne, Teresa and Marc. She loved being a homemaker and was employed by Eisner Grocery Store for 15yrs. After retiring, she and Bob enjoyed wintering at Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.
Her interests were centered around family so she was actively involved with school and church events, Schlarman sports, along with frequent family gatherings. She kept in close touch with relatives and friends, never forgetting a birthday or special occasion with a card and a handwritten letter.
Evelyn was preceeded in death by her husband, Bob, of 52 years; her son, Marc Hanson; and her daughter, Teresa Barstow. She is survived by her daughter, Marianne Hanson and her partner Doug Glascock of Harrison, Ark., grandchildren Rainbow and Ransom Russell, Bethany McClain, Slade Hanson and two great-grandchildren, Bria and Trey McClain. Evelyn is also survived by her brother-in-law, Dale Dobbles.
She remained close to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as her close friends and will continue to live in the hearts of all who love her. May love light her way forever.
The family is dedicating a mass for Evelyn June 10, at 5 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church of Danville. All are welcome to attend in celebration of Evelyn's life.
