STONE BLUFF, Ind. - Emily Elizabeth (Kingery) Wineinger, 98, Stone Bluff, passed away in Parkview Healthcare Center, Attica, on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at 4:44 a.m.
Elizabeth, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Waynetown, Ind. on Aug. 12, 1918. She was the daughter of the late James M. and Laura S. (Thompson) Kingery. Elizabeth was raised in Danville graduating from Danville High School in 1936.
On Aug. 15, 1936, Elizabeth married Lewis Richard Wineinger in Danville. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2002.
Elizabeth had worked for a short time during her marriage at the Sale Barn in Veedersburg. Elizabeth spent most of her time helping her husband on the farm near Stone Bluff.
Elizabeth was an active member of Stone Bluff Community Church, serving for a long time as organist of the church. She also helped with the Ladies Aide of the church. Elizabeth and her sister, Louise Parker, sang as a duet for local and church functions. She enjoyed reading and playing euchre and rook with friends. She was an exceptional cook. She was referred to by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as "Grandma on the farm".
She leaves behind her daughter, Joyce Sichts, Attica; two grandchildren, Cindy Faulkner, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. and Rick (Pam) Sichts, Lafayette; four great-grandchildren, Lacy (Steve) Nickels, Dustin (Chelsea) Faulkner, Brandy (Mitch) Allen and Kyle (Mellisa) Sichts; seven great-great-grandchildren, Lucas and Emily Nickels, Addison and Brendan Faulkner, Hayden and Harper Allen, Chase Sichts; a special nephew, Jim (Sandy) Kingery, Veedersburg; a special niece, Kathy Byers, Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle and Ted Kingery along with a sister, Louise Parker.
Friends may call at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daneen Rodriguez and Rev. Stanley Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
