Edward H. Hunley Jr. of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the age of 90.
Ed was born in Henning, Ill., to Edward Harlan Hunley and Ethel McConnell Hunley.
He graduated from Henning High School as valedictorian and from the University of Illinois.
Ed was married to Jane Marie Sharp, also of Henning in 1949 and they shortly moved to Davis, Calif. The Hunley family later moved to Clayton, Ill., and then to Quincy, Ill., where he retired from Electric Wheel Co. Ed and Jane moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ed later moved to Woodland, Calif.
On Valentine's Day 2006 Ed was married to Evelyn Marie Price of Napa, Calif., and shortly thereafter moved to Kerrville, Texas.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Harlan Hunley and Ethel Hunley Burnett; his wife, Jane Marie Hunley; and his youngest daughter, Pamela Hunley Bizaillion.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Price Hunley; his sister, Betty Lou Burnett Mooring; his son, Charles Hunley; and his daughter, Linda Hunley Ford. He also is survived by seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 4, and services will be Monday morning, June 5, in Kerrville.
