DANVILLE - Daisy K. Woodard, 90, of Danville, passed away at 6:47 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, after a sudden illness. She was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Danville, to Oscar and Mildred Owens Kinney.
Daisy married Wilford R. Woodard March 16, 1944 in Covington, Ind. Wilford passed away Nov. 10. 1993.
Survivors include two sons: Gene (Barbara) Woodard of Danville and Bob (Donna) Woodard of Oakwood; two daughters: Kathy (Bob) Turner of Danville and Myrna Creason of Danville; one brother: Harold (June) Kinney of Danville; two sisters: Rose (Robert) Carter of Catlin and Mary Lappin of Bismarck; grandchildren: Tara (Jed Smoot) Woodard, Jessica (Clyde) Bradford, Jeremy (Brandie) McMasters, Mary McMasters, Clay (Becca) Woodard, Bobby (Ashley) Woodard, Chad (Tracy) Turner, Farrah (Randy) Smith, Sheri (Terry) Walker, Scott (Tobi Adolph) Creason, Tony (Dawn Brown) Creason, Dave Beck; great-grandchildren: Sullivan Smoot, Bella Bradford, Mason Bradford, Valina McMasters, CJ McMasters, Skylea McMasters, Lilly Woodard, Sam Woodard, Raiden Woodard, Harlow Woodard, Brayden Turner, Delaney Turner, Connor Smith, Andy (Lacey Cox) Beck, Megan (Dustin) Sims, Taylor Beck, Brandon (Cara Smith) Creason, Samantha Creason, Sydney Creason, Camdyn Creason; five great-great-grandchildren: Oliver Beck, Piper Creason, Neveah Parham, Evgeni Anderson, and Kendra Pundt. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and her son-in-law, James Creason.
Daisy loved to read, enjoyed politics, all of her grandkids and great-grandkids and families. She was a member of Westside Church of the Nazarene and served as Danville Township Trustee for over 20yrs.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Robison Chapel in Catlin, with Pastor Bill Wright to officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery at Oakwood. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
