Claude Richard McKissack, 70, of Danville, transitioned from this life at 2:52 p.m. Sept. 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Claude was born June 2, 1946 in West Memphis, Ark. to Clyde Smith and Alberta McKissack. He worked for Danville Sanitation District for many years. Claude enjoyed barbequing, fishing, sitting on the porch eating lunch and spending time with his children and friends.
Claude leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Alberta Isaac; seven children: Deshawn McKissack, Claude Jr., Myron Adams, Bobby Adams, Sherona Taylor, Karen Westland, and Darrius Lee; siblings: Joyce Wilks, Alma Brooks, Amanda Isaac, Rose (Curtis) McCray, Patricia (John) Herring, Ray Williams (Regina), Edward (Valerie) Isaac, Robert Isaac, and Joey (Christina) Isaac; special friend: Shirley Lee; and a host of family and friends whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Burl (lil-bruh), Albert Isaac and Gregory Duncan.
A Celebration of life will commence at 12 noon Wednesday, Sept. 14, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 North Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Officiating Pastor Bobby R. Keys.
