Archie Rahm, 85, of Georgetown, passed away at 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Gardenview Manor, Danville. He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Danville, the son of Arthur and Mary (Knee) Rahm, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Judy Brown on May 28,1965. she survives.
He will be dearly missed by, his son, Jack (Janet) Rahm of Veedersburg, Ind.; daughter, Sue Stokes of Veedersburg, Ind.; step daughter, Virgina Howard, of Olivet; sister, Millie Roak of Covington, Ind.; grandchildren, Chris (Diana) Rahm of Veedersburg, Ind., Todd (Christian) Rahm of Warsilla, Alaska, Tracy Rahm of Veedersburg, Ind.; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Mckenna Rahm of Warsilla, Alaska, Shy, Kindle, Shawn and Jessica of Veedersburg, Ind. Archie was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvie, Robert and John Rham; three sisters, Maggie Osborn, Kate Keller and Franus Shemaker; daughter, Anita Branham; two sons, Tommy Rahm and Archie Rahm Jr.
Archie loved spending his time in the woods deer hunting with his best friend Ray lace, favorite niece, Teresa Cobble and friend Sara Spencer. Special thanks to Alex Reed at Danville Rescue Mission.
A Celebration of Archie's life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, with Pastor Thompson and Pastor Rowe officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown.
