Angel Marie (nee Jones) Pry, 43, of Sheffield Village, Ohio, passed away on Aug. 5, 2016, at Ames Hospice in Westlake, Ohio, after a long, brave battle with breast cancer.
Nicknamed "Sparkle," Angel was born Aug. 24, 1972, in Danville, to Joseph P. and Ellen S. (nee Marquis) Jones. Beloved wife of 13 years to Carl G. Pry of Sheffield Village, and wonderful mother of Ryan J. ,11, and Jason R. Pry ,8. Beloved sister to Andrew M. Jones (Jennifer) of Wildwood, Mo., and Bridgett R. (nee Jones) and Dan Wakefield of Champaign. Beloved aunt to Matthew Jones of Wildwood, Mo., Natalie and Ethan Wakefield of Champaign, and Natasha and Joshua Lewandowski of Toledo, Ohio. Beloved niece to Karen (nee Marquis) Miller of Chicago and Joyce (nee Basquette) Marquis of Paris, Ill., and William Marquis of Renton, Wash.
Angel received a Bachelor's Degree in Science (in mathematics) from Illinois State University in 1994. Angel worked at Moen in New Bern, N.C., and North Olmsted, Ohio, from 1998 to 2011, where she won the President's Award, and still has countless friends.
Close friends with so many, Angel was endlessly devoted to her family, and was involved with the Sheffield School District PTA, baseball, basketball, Cub Scouts, local theater, and more. Growing up, Angel won numerous academic awards, and was a member of her high school's marching band that performed at Carnegie Hall, among other honors.
Angel very much wants everyone to keep smiling, and celebrate her very happy life.
Donations in Angel's honor can be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, in the hopes of fighting and winning the battle against cancer.
Viewing and a celebration of Angel's life will be held Tuesday, August 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Westlake, Ohio. On Wednesday, Aug. 10, a service and luncheon following will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 27933 Detroit Rd, Westlake, Ohio.
