Andrew Rennick, 56, of Urbana, Ill., passed away Jan. 6, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Andrew was born in Danville, Ill. He was a graduate of Danville High school and Parkland College. While at Danville High School, he was very active in the high school theater program, Red Mask Theater and Danville Light Opera.
He lived in Urbana for the past 23 years, where he worked at Parkland College prior to retiring in 2016. He was active in the Urbana community, where among many things he had a radio show under the name of "Blue Drew," won several chili cook-offs, and volunteered at Sola Gratia Farm.
Andrew was an avid music lover and enjoyed sharing it with his friends. He also enjoyed hosting family meals, cooking, gardening, poker, bowling and taking care of animals of all kinds.
Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Church of the Holy Trinity in Danville, followed by funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Marie Rennick; sister, Sheryl (Dave) Pegg; brother, Fredrick Rennick; and sister, Mary Meade; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Corky Rennick, and sister, Laurel Chambers.
