Heaven gained another angel at 12:25 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, with the passing of Amber Campbell, 30, of Westville.
She was born the daughter of Ray Campbell and Susan Burris Campbell in Danville, Ill., on Aug. 6, 1986.
She will be dearly missed by her mother, Susan (Burris) Campbell-Atwood of Westville; her father, Ray Campbell Sr. of Danville; her two little angels, son Dyllan Campbell-Engelmann (his father, John Engelmann) and daughter, Dailyn Campbell-McDonald (her father, Joe McDonald), all of Westville; her brothers, Ray Campbell Jr. of Danville and Geoff Abrams of South Carolina; her "Bobbsey Twin" best friend, Timberly Hicks of Oakwood; as well as many extended family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her brother, Jerry Campbell; her special aunts, Linda Burris and Donna Warren; her uncle, Harry Campbell; and her special pet, Cheyenne.
Amber worked at The Hawthorne Inn in Danville as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved being able to help the residents whom she grew to love. She enjoyed shopping, going to rummage sales and Buyer's Market.
Amber's most precious loves in her life were her children, Dyllan and Dailyn. She never let them go without anything. Those whose lives she touched will always remember her and miss her, especially her children. "Nobody can ever hurt you again, My Beautiful Angel."
A celebration of Amber's life will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, with Pastor Scott McCurdy officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home.
