William "Bill" Page, 89, of Hoopeston, Ill., passed away at 2 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Heritage Health Senior Living and Therapy in Hoopeston.
He was born Sept. 12, 1928, the son of Buford and Jewel (Wells) Page.
He married Roxie Boils in 1949 in Milford, Ill. She survives.
He is survived by his son, Leon (Jaynie) Page of Olney, Ill.; one sister, Mildred Owen of Hoopeston; one brother, Max (Esther) Page of Hoopeston; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Maynard Byers, Louise Boyles, and Mazelle Pearson; and two brothers, Milton Page and Earl Page.
Bill retired from FMC in Hoopeston after 40 years. He attended First Baptist Church in Hoopeston. He was a member of Illiana Car Club and Wabash Gun Club. He loved to hunt and garden and to collect coins, knives and guns. He also enjoyed playing cards and cornhole with his family.
A visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the funeral home with Pastor Adam Taubert officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
