William "Bill"'s Story
William "Bill" Hagler, 58 of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home. Per his wishes, Bill will be cremated and a public memorial will be held at a date yet to be determined.
Bill was born on December 31, 1958 in Danville to Edwin and Patricia (Henry) Hagler. He attended St. Paul and Schlarman schools, graduating in 1977 and later attending culinary school in New York. Bill was well known throughout the area for his culinary skills and accomplishments at places such as The Moose, The Danville Elks, Jocko's, Danville Boat Club, Danville Country Club, and The Vermillion Hills Country Club. In his free time you could often find him working in his yard, having a cold one, and loving on his dogs, especially Indiana Jones.
Bill leaves behind his siblings: Becky (Hagler) Blundy, Anita "Nikki" Hagler, and David Hagler, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law David Blundy.
