Wanda Lee Clark, 82, of Macedonia, died 6:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 5, 1933, in West Frankfort, the daughter of James Lewis McChesney and Edith (Smith) Turner McChesney. She married Joseph (Joe) Edward Clark; he preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Marcella (Clark) Kane of Mt. Vernon and Marlene (Clark) Pepple and husband Greg of McLeansboro; two grandchildren, Trevor Joseph Kane of Macedonia and Jolene Marie Steele and husband Tyler of McLeansboro; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one brother, Lyndell McChesney; one sister, Betty Curry; one son-in-law, Charles Kane; and one nephew, Jimmy McChesney. She operated Clark’s Corner Store near Macedonia for many years. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church near Macedonia. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. The visitation was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, until the time of service. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery near Macedonia. Memorials may be made to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at the church or at Gholson Funeral Home. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
