Virginia's Story

Virginia M. Williams, daughter of Robert F. and Rachel A. (Johnson) Bracken, was born May 31, 1933, in Pawhuska, Okla. She passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2016, at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kan., after a brief battle with cancer. She was 82. On June 18, 1953, she was united in marriage to her sweetheart, Bob Williams. To this union, two daughters were born, Janet and Debra. The couple lived in Colorado for 42 years before moving to Kansas to be near their daughter, Deb and son-in-law, Jim. They were happily married for 62 years before Bob’s passing in June 2015. The joy of her life were her grandchildren, Jeff, Josh and Rachel along with her “babies,” great-grandchildren Braxton, Brinley, Kane and Morrison. Virginia lived every day with unending, unconditional love for her family and passed full of their boundless, eternal love for her. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobbie and her parents. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Crow and Debra (Jim) Jackson; her grandchildren, Jeff (Kelsey) Jackson, Josh (Kelsey) Jackson and Rachel Crow (Greg Honan); her great-grandchildren, Braxton, Brinley amd Kane Jackson and Morrison Crow Honan; her beloved dog, Marley; her sister, Bernice Ellis; her brother, Robert (Ruth) Bracken; three nephews; and a niece.
