Tommy Lee Fisher passed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 12:34 p.m. at Presence Covenant Medical Center, in Urbana.
He was born June 21, 1960, in Danville, the son of John and Dora Lee Williams Fisher. Tommy graduated from Danville High School and formerly worked for Crosspoints Human Services. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially football.
Tommy was united in marriage to Angela Bell-Fisher on June 25, 1993, in Danville. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; three sons, Thomas, John, and Kenny Fisher, all of Danville; two daughters, Ebony (John) Giles of Athens, Ga. And Natalie (Pastor U.D.) Williams, of Danville; four sisters, Bessie Nelson of Danville, Bobbie (Theodore) Allen of Champaign, Mae (Curtis) Bibb of Kansas City, Mo., and Violet Jennett Fisher of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight brothers, Malcolm Fisher of Atlanta, Ga., Robert Fisher and Wayne Carey of Decatur, Ill., Vincent Fisher of Indianapolis, Earl Williams, Andrew (Ellen) Hill Jr., and Steven Fisher, all of Danville. He also leaves eight grandchildren that he loved dearly: James Derrickson of Athens, Ga., Riley, Mya, Jayden, Kam'ryn Fisher, Josiah, Zachuriah, and Lillian Williams, all of Danville, as well as a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
A Memorial service will commence at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at New Union Baptist Church, 1031 N. Gilbert St. Leek & Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
