Todd LT O.B. O'Banion


PARIS - Todd Alan O'Banion, "LT O.B." 59, of Paris, formerly of Danville, passed away on June 16, 2019, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Todd was born Feb. 15, 1960, to son of Daniel and Wilma (Stratier) O'Banion in Danville. He married Diana Burns on Aug. 2, 1997, in Danville, and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Diana of Paris; two sons, Jason Chasten of Springfield, and Scott Trigalet of Danville; four brothers, Tony O'Banion of Danville, Danny O'Banion of Tilton, Jack (Naori) O'Banion of Woodstock, Ga., and Donnie O'Banion of Grand Prairie, Texas; two grandchildren, Taylor Dawn Renee Trigalet and Allison Michelle Trigalet.
Todd is preceded in death by his parents.
Lieutenant O'Banion was a Corrections Officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections in Danville, for 26 ½ years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of an Ansar Shrine. Todd loved his motorcycles and purchased his first Harley-Davidson Motorcycles for his 40th birthday. He also enjoyed spending his free time traveling.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Per Todd's wishes, cremation rights will be accorded following visitation.
One of "LT O.B.'s" final requests is that all of his friends and colleagues that ride motorcycles honor him by riding their motorcycles to his visitation in his memory.
