Thomas Wade Elmore of Danville, Ill., passed away at 4:28 a.m. September 25, 2017, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Wade was born April 15, 1950, to Martin Leo and Izell Marie Elmore in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He married Debra Pavlick on January 15, 2000, in Danville, Ill. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Elmore; two stepdaughters, Kim Dominguez and Nicole Elliott; one stepson, Chris Pavlick; five brothers, Donald, Larry, Benny, Allen and Jay Elmore; four sisters, Peggy Brooks, Bonnie Hancock, Vicky Workman and Betty Davis; and one grandson, Michael Smith. Also surviving are several other step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Wade is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Martin Wade Elmore; a stepson, Michael Malasarte; two brothers, Steve and Monte Elmore; and one sister, Joann Pierce.
Wade loved to shoot pool and was quite the comedian. He kept everyone entertained with his personality and humor. He was a homebody and enjoyed spending time with his wife and cat. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Ken Pavlick will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home.
