PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Terry G. DeBarba, 66, of Port Orange, Fla., passed away suddenly after spending several days in the ICU department at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. Family was at bedside.
Terry was born March 10, 1951, in Danville, Ill., to Gene and Ada Jane.
He married Gail I. Jaggers on September 20, 1969, in Georgetown, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gail DeBarba.
Survivors include two sons, Chuck (Cindy) DeBarba of Westville, Ill., and Jason (Aimee) DeBarba of Port Orange, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brandon Pettigrew, Kali DeBarba, Marlin DeBarba and Brody DeBarba; and his beloved dog, Casey, and 21-year-old turtle, OJ.
Terry was a graduate of Westville High School and later employed by Hyster-Yale for 40 years, then retired and moved to Florida. Terry enjoyed flea marketing, coin collecting, antiquing and cooking, along with many other things.
He was a very smart and loving Father and Grandfather. He could tell you a little bit about everything and was always good at giving knowledgeable advice. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him well.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Sandusky Cemetery in Westville.
