Terry Bolden

August 04, 1955 - September 28, 2018

Terry "Cobbs" Bolden, aka "SHY," 63, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Danville, Ill., transitioned from this life on September 28, 2018, at his residence.
Terry was born August 4, 1955, in Danville to the late James S. Cobb and Mattie Bolden.
Terry graduated from high school in St. Louis, and was employed at a construction company in Vegas. He loved his job as a stage construction manager and proudly called to Danville to share his stories regarding the celebrity concerts, stage plays, actors and singers he'd met while working.
Terry never met a stranger. He had a contagious smile and definitely the gift of gab. Terry accepted Christ and believed in the power of prayer.
Terry leaves to cherish his loving memory one son, Shonell (Felicia) Bolden Sr.; two grandchildren, Shania Bolden and Shonell Bolden Jr.; two brothers, Paul Cobb of Las Vegas and Dennis Cobb of Minnesota; one sister, Stacie Rodger' (LeRoy) Scott of East St. Louis, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Gloria Bolden of Danville; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry also leaves lasting memories with a special friend Rhonda Robinson. Together they shared grandchildren whom affectionately called Terry Paw-Paw, special sons James Carlos Atkins and Sean Atkins, and a very close childhood friend who remained present until the end, Mr. Jeff Stacker.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keynon Lewis; and brothers James Cobbs Jr. and Gary (Cobb) Bolden.
A visitation will commence from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 13, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville. A memorial service will follow.
