Susie Marie Cantrell, 58, of McLeansboro, died at 4:08 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at her home. Susie was born on December 4, 1955, the daughter of Lyle Jay and Mary Alice (Goff) Oehlert in Lawrenceville, Ill. Susie was retired and loved spending time with family, friends, her grandson and grand pups. She collected Coca-Cola items and loved Elvis. She was a member of Hickory Hill Church in Walpole. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Cantrell of Dale; two sons, Jeremy Wayne Cantrell and wife Brandi of Dahlgren and Jacob Wade Cantrell and wife Corinth of Evansville; her mother, Mary Alice Oehlert of McLeansboro; a sister, Debra Lea Venable and husband Alan of Irvington, IL and one grandson, Kasen Wayne Cantrell. Funeral services for Susie Marie Cantrell were held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Reverend Chris Marsh officiating. Burial was in Ten Mile Cemetery at McLeansboro. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, Sept. 26, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. She was preceded in death by her father Lyle Oehlert. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of all of the arrangements.
