CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Shirley Kay Mason, 63, a resident of Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation Crawfordsville for the past three years and formerly of Covington, Ind., passed away at 2:59 p.m. EST Monday, December 4, 2017, at Ben Hur.
She was born March 30, 1954, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Wilson) Hegg.
Survivors include her three children, Kimberly (Brandon) Grubb of Lafayette, Ind., Kent (Brittni) Mason of Avon, Ind., and Kelly (Jason) Orcutt of Covington, Ind.; one granddaughter, Rumour Grubb; three grandsons, Jury Grubb, Liam Mason and Mason Orcutt; three sisters, Penny Mullens, Billie (Jim) Hudson and Judy Hegg all of Covington, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her grandson, Maxwell Kent Mason, and brother, Bobby Hegg.
Shirley formerly worked at Flexel in Covington, retiring in 1998. She was a 1972 graduate of Covington High School. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services: Noon EST Friday, December 8, at Covington United Methodist Church. Officiating: Bob Fairchild. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Ind. Visitation: 4:30-7:30 p.m. EST Thursday, December 7, at the church and one hour prior to services Friday.
