FRANKFORT, Ind. - Sharon Sue Watchbaugh, 68, of rural Frankfort and formerly of Cayuga, Ind., died December 19, 2017, at IU Health Frankfort Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1949, in Danville, Ill., to the late John A. and Mary D. (Hooton) Webb.
She married Albert Gene Watchbaugh on May 14, 1971, in Frankfort. He survives.
Sharon was a 1967 graduate of North Vermillion High School. She was a clerk at the Frankfort BMV for 20 years and worked at Uni Electric for several years. She had lived in Cayuga before moving to Frankfort in 1967. Sharon was a member of the Local 952 IUE, serving as union steward and president for two years and chief steward for 10 Years.
She enjoyed bowling, reading and especially family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Watchbaugh of rural Frankfort; daughter, Gina (Craig) Rutledge of Frankfort, son, Jamey (companion, Mandy Beauchamp) Watchbaugh of Frankfort; three sisters, Vickie Webb and Linda Webb Myers both of Cayuga, and Brenda Webb Olsen of Greenwood, Ind.; brother, Bruce (Cindy) Webb of Monon, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Visitation: 4-6 p.m. EST Friday, December 22, at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind. Visitation will then be 4-8 p.m. EST Tuesday, December 26, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, Ind. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. EST Wednesday, December 27, at the funeral home. Burial of cremains: 11 a.m. EST Friday, December 29, at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Frankfort.
