Sharolyn (Sherry)'s Story
Sharolyn (Sherry) M. Erwin, 73, of Oakwood, passed away at 11:05 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. Sherry was born in Danville on May 19, 1944, the daughter of Earl and Marjorie Macy. On April 5, 1986, Sherry married the love of her life, Ronald L. Erwin and they spent the next 29 years together before his passing in 2015.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Ann Richards; son, Randy (Tina) Sollars; step-son Ronnie (Missy) Erwin Jr.; brothers, Tony Casey, Pat (Beth) Casey, Frank (Tammie) Casey; grandchildren, Chad (Nicki) Sollars, Tyler Bradfield, Cody (Miranda) Sollars, Amber Richards, Macy Richards; and great-grandchildren, Zander Hughes, Tucker Sollars, Stella Ward and Timothy Bradfield.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and step-daughter, Tami Erwin.
Sherry as a graduate of Schlarman Academy and later became a secretary for the states attorney's office where she retired after working more than 20 years. She always enjoyed taking trips to Vegas with Ron and in her spare time she liked to read and watch gameshows. She also loved spending time with her family and her two dogs, Toby and Gabby.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 444 E. Main St, Danville. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
