DANVILLE - Sandra Lister, an Angel, was called home to heaven on Sunday morning the 19th of November at 5:50 a.m. at Presence hospital in Danville, Ill.
Sandra was born to Jean and Gerald Lister on February 10, 1948, at Lakeview Hospital.
She played the trombone in her high school marching band. She graduated from Seeger Memorial High School in West Lebanon, Ind., in 1966. She was immediately employed at Vermilion County Abstract Company and worked there until retirement in 2013.
She enjoyed bowling and bowled in two leagues for several years. She enjoyed going on trips with her long-time best friend and fiance' Earnest Miller, who passed away in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1990 and her mother in 2017 a week prior to her own passing. She had a premonition that she and her mother were both going home to Heaven.
She is survived by her sister, Vicky Lister, of Danville, Ill., and several very special cousins, Marvena (Clete) Lynch of Greenville, S.C., Dianne (Ron) Lightly of Knoxville, Tenn., Brenda Tellier of Batestown, Kathy Lyons of Tilton, Ill., Jeff (Kathy) Nicoson of Danville, and Karen (Jim) Chapman of Attica, Ind.
She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Pastor Patti Wise will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, at the funeral home.
