CATLIN - Sandi went home this past Saturday and is having a lively reunion with all of our family and friends who have gone before her. Sandi was born on October 18, 1944, in Alabama while her father was stationed there.
Sandi will be missed by so many. She was one of the most caring, giving, unselfish people you
could ever know. If you needed help, a shoulder to lean or cry on, Sandi was there for you without judgement or criticism, asking nothing in return. She was a second mother to her
sister and could face almost anything that life threw her way with dignity, grace and humor.
She gave of herself unselfishly to friends and family and was not afraid to tackle any task in life, including raising the incredible children God gave her.
Sandi leaves behind her children, Christopher M Mitzlaff, James D. Mitzlaff, both of San Diego,
Calif.; daughter, Beth Johnson of California; stepsons Tom, Tony, Paul, Bill Mitzlaff in the Florida area; her sister, Debi Songer of Springfield, Ill.; cousins Beverly (Barkman) Andrews, Rita (Barkman) Scott and Bobbee and Janet Songer. Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Pat Songer and brother Stephen. Her loss is hard for us to grasp and she is missed
every hour of every day since she went home.
As Sandi wished, there will be no graveside service. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Catlin Church of Christ.
Please join the family in remembrance and celebration of Sandi's life. Robison Chapel in Catlin is handling service details. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com
