STONE BLUFF, Ind. - Ruth O. (Young) Eacret, 83, of Stone Bluff, died at 9:35 p.m. EST Sunday, January 28, 2018, at her residence.
Ruth was born March 3, 1934, in Stone Bluff. She was the daughter of the late Oxford Wright and Lena (Handley) Young. Ruth had lived all of her life in the Stone Bluff and Veedersburg areas. She had attended Veedersburg High School.
Ruth married Donald Eugene Eacret on September 13, 1952, in Attica Free Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2006.
Ruth was a homemaker and was proud of raising her children and grandchildren. She was a life member of Stone Bluff United Methodist Church and a 10-year president of Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel (Sharon) Gritten, Attica, and Robert (Joyce) Eacret, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nine grandchildren, including Donald Eacret, who was raised in her home; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be noon- 2 p.m. EST Thursday, February 1, at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the service at 2 p.m. EST with Pastor Daneen Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Osborne Prairie Cemetery, Stone Bluff.
