Ronald Cox, 55, of Danville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Carle Hospital in Champaign. He was born on July 28, 1962, to Larry and Patricia (Carol) Cox in Danville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rodney Joseph; a niece, April Williams; and two great nephews, Dale Michael Brandenburg and Matthew Ames.
Ronald is survived by two sons, Bradley (Vicki) Joseph Cox and Shane (Danielle) Joseph Day; step children, Danny (Yvette) Hufford, Kayla (Jarrod) King, and Joseph King; two sisters, Lorie (Thomas) Cox Ames and Brenda (Larry) Cox Ross; and grandchildren, David Cox, Thomas Cox, Kara Abram, Airanna, Jameson, Maximus, Thomas, Faith, and Torren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces great-nephews and many special friends.
Ronald was passionate about motorcycles and cars. He particularly loved Harleys and Cadillacs. He loved fishing and camping and was known as a jack of all trades. Ronald did anything to help people and loved animals. He leaves behind his dog Buttercup. Ronald was a family man. He spent his free time with family and the people he loved.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to his service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Scott. Burial will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
