WESTVILLE - Ronald L. Alexander, 82, formerly of Westville and Paris, passed away at 11:12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Cumberland Trace Assisted Living in Plainfield, Ind. He was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Bismarck, to Dwight and Ruth Elizabeth Brown Alexander.
Ron married Emily Jean Wade July 7. 1956 at Calvary Baptist Church in Danville. Jean survives as well as one son: Scott (Tami) Alexander of Greenwood, Ind.; one daughter: Jeana Le Alexander of Oakwood; and three grandchildren: Ryan Scott Alexander, Travis Lee (Nuchy) Alexander, and John David (Marisa) Alexander. Ron was an active sportsman, having lettered 12 times at Henning High School in baseball, basketball, and track. He inspired his son and daughter to be active in sports, as well as his grandchildren. He attended all their sporting events. Ron served in the Navy and Navy Reserves, and was district manager for Berry Bearing Company. He was 60 year member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed his corvette and being at the lake in Paris, especially spending time with his family. Ron restored and refinished antiques.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Scott Alexander to officiate. Private burial at Gundy Cemetery at Bismarck. Catlin American Legion will perform full military honors.
