Roland "Wade"'s Story
DANVILLE - Roland "Wade" Price Jr., 75, of Danville, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Presence USMC in Danville.
He was born September 14, 1942, in Clinton, Ind., the son of Roland W. and Madge Brown Price.
He married Sandra Skinner on December 2, 1962, in Danville. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Dorothy "Dottie" Kleiner of Danville, Kim (Todd Applegate) Price of Danville, and Rollynn "Shane" Knight of Catlin; one brother, Allen Price of Terre Haute, Ind.; four grandchildren, Presley Wade Kleiner, Alana Rae Kleiner, Gianna Rae Knight and Hayden Nicholas Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jaye Dean Price; and one sister, Lynette Ogle.
Wade had a smile that was so contagious and a heartwarming belly laugh. He loved his wife, girls and grandkids with everything he had, they were his world. He had so many friends that he loved and they loved him.
He enjoyed his monthly breakfast with his railroad buddies. He had been a conductor for Union Pacific and retired after 41 years of service. He was a member of Anchor Lodge 980 and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Member at the Valley of Danville. He was a member of the GAO Grotto. Wade enjoyed riding his Harley and rode to Sturgis. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, taking his family to the beach, and going to the casino. Wade loved watching his grandchildren's ball games.
Funeral service: 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Cole Osborne officiating. Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Thursday at Robison Chapel. Masonic Rites will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
